Capture it! A Walk along Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City

One Sunday afternoon, before Typhoon Glenda has hit the country, I needed a breather. Since I haven't  been to Katipunan for quite some time, I decided to tread this avenue and see what's new. Of course I had a different purpose in mind. I was on my way to another destination, but I figured, might as well take in some of the things, new and old, that continues to be the ever busy Katipunan Avenue.

On a pedestrian overpass: Katipunan avenue, coming from Tuazon and Libis, Quezon City. To the right is Ateneo de Manila University, Grade School grounds.

From the opposite side, going to Aurora Boulevard, or the flyover to Libis. To the right are some of the establishments along Katipunan.

Moving along from the overpass, the gates of Mirriam College.

From another pedestrian overpass, sprawling trees shielding the main campus of Mirriam College.

Across Mirriam is Save More and the new condo from SM, Berkley Residences.

More new establishments along Katipunan, this is in front of Mirriam.

Moving along, Petron gas station with it's stopover food stores. This is beside the entrance to Loyola Grand Villas.

Overcast skies at the Sta. Maria della Strada Church.

Next stop: UP Town Center

This is the newest commercial center this side of Quezon City. Currently still being developed, I was just passing along, taking snapshots of its front facade.

Well, I'm taking the jeep to another destination. Until the next commuter adventures...ciao!
