3Cs: Construction...Church...City mall...all in one!

Walking down Marcos Highway, you'll encounter a series of road construction and repair. It is currently being fortified and strengthened. Word on the street goes that it is in preparation for the extension of LRT-2--the purple train line that stretches from Marcos Highway Santolan, to Aurora Boulevard, all the way to Recto. Honestly, this is just my opinion about why the stream of roadworks ongoing along this busy  highway.

Moving along, you might wonder where a couple of sisters are heading down this highway.

Quite recently, this new church opened along Marcos Highway, The St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish Church. Originally, this church is a small chapel in a subdivision along Marcos Highway--Filinvest East. For years, the church where it now stands has been a little unknown because transports breeze through this area along the highway. But not anymore! Let's take a look inside!

This is the interior of the church. The people are just about to get ready for the mass. The altar piece is quite beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a closer shot...I might disturb some people. Anyway, it is a Sunday and I might as well hear mass. You may join me if you wish...

After an hour...

Mass is over! Let's hop on over across the highway again. You will discover that although this highway is heavy on repairs and stuff right now, it's still business as usual.

Here we are! Feel like going to the mall? Just this May, another SM City Mall has opened its doors to the public, particularly, the Antipolo / Marikina / Cogeo/ Padilla public. This is SM City Masinag. Seems that this highway is getting busier and busier every year. More of SM City Masinag in my next blog...besides, I wanna watch a movie...care to join me?

From the Antipolo commuter, ciao for now!
